According to People's Magazine, Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo and her boyfriend, record producer Chris Ivery, are engaged, Pompeo and Ivery, 37, both Boston-area natives, grew up minutes away from each other, but didn't meet until pals introduced them in Los Angeles in 2003. They didn't start dating right away. "We were friends for six months; then one night she just looked different to me," Ivery told the magazine. Their relationship is laid-back. "We had a great day yesterday," "We walked on the beach, then we came home, took a shower and went out for sushi. Then we laid on the couch with the dogs and watched TV." Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl and her boyfriend, musician Josh Kelley, are engaged, their reps confirm exclusively to PEOPLE. No wedding date has been set. The couple met last year when Heigl, 27, appeared in a video for Kelley's song "Only You." "At the end of the shoot, I said, 'You're gonna go eat dinner with us, and you can't say no,' " Kelley, 25, said in October. "So we ate, drank and just started hanging out after that." Music is still part of their relationship: Kelley wrote a tune, "Katie's Song," for Heigl. "There is really nothing more romantic than that," Heigl told PEOPLE in December. "It was one of the most thrilling and romantic things that I've ever experienced, and it makes me really like him bad." Heigl, who also starred on the WB's Roswell, grew up in New Canaan, Conn., and worked as a model before she began acting. She is currently filming the comedy Knocked Up.

Kelley, an Augusta, Ga., native, released his debut album, For the Ride Home, in 2003. His second album, Almost Honest, came out last year, and his third, Just Say The Word, is scheduled to hit stores July 24.

Her marriage didn't work out on "Desperate Housewives," but things are looking rosy in real life for Eva Longoria: She's engaged to her beau, basketball star Tony Parker.

"Tony flew into Los Angeles last night after his game and surprised Eva at her home as she got off work," Longoria's spokeswoman, Liza Anderson, told The Associated Press on Thursday via e-mail.

"The proposal was romantic and perfect. The couple plans to wed in France in what they describe as a big, happy ceremony with lots of family and friends." The 31-year-old Longoria, who plays crafty Gabrielle Solis on the hit ABC show, met Parker, a 24-year-old Frenchman, in the San Antonio Spurs' locker room after a game two years ago. Longoria divorced Tyler Christopher, who stars on ABC's "General Hospital," in 2004, after two years of marriage.
